 Looking for fun and educational Science workshops for your classroom? Look no further.! 

We provide all the equipment and all of the fun which is curriculum linked (Yes, even the slime sessions!). We bring all the equipment and tidy up all the mess afterwards!

We have been working very hard behind the scenes to make sure that all of our sessions are COVID secure.

What this will look like to you is:

• Smaller group sizes
• Equipment is pre- sanitised and we follow COVID secure practises throughout the session.

We are all fully trained teachers and have received training in COVID safe practise in line with and above government guidelines. We also hold Enhanced DBS checks, safeguarding training, PREVENT training and first AID certificates.

WE can tailor sessions to any part of the curriculum or your current topic but our most popular are;

• Hearts and nutrition (year 5/6)- this session is broke up into two parts: how to keep your heart healthy and how your heart works. It is targeting wellbeing as well as circulation and includes a hands on dissection of a real heart (all safety equipment is provided!)
• Electricity Ks2  - this can include renewables - everyone will get the opportunity to investigate circuits and electricity using our circuit equipment which now includes solar energy. We also complete a basic practical write up!
• Materials - KS1 – let’s investigate materials - hands on experiments investigating materials in a real world situation!
• Science Club fun sessions - in these sessions we do some fun science club experiments and create something like SLIME or bath bombs, which each child can take home (we even link these to the curriculum!!) - you can choose the experiments for your class. 
• States of matter yr3/4 - a fun session of mini experiments and demos to explain and explore states of matter.

• Renewable energy session KS2-  Lets  investigate... renewable energy. In this workshop we build solar ovens and investigate using our circuit equipment with renewable energy components. 
• Science Club fun sessions - in these sessions we do some fun science club experiments and create something like SLIME or bath bombs, which each child can take home (we even link these to the curriculum!!) - you can choose the experiments for your class. 
• Changing materials KS2 - This session is a hands-on exploration of changing materials. Everyone will be engaged as they carry out experiments to explore changing materials. 
• Habitats and conservation Ks1/2- Investigating habits using real life mini-beasts. We bring the outside to you! - Also everyone will get to meet our resident Science Buddies mascot - Einstein!
• Diabetes/ healthy bodies   - Students will carry out a practical experiment with a write-up, having to take into account correct practical procedures at the end concluding which would be the best drink to give a diabetic having a hypoglycaemic attack.
• Let’s Explore... our bodies - This session is tailored to year group. With EyFS stages, we look at teeth, germs and keeping our bodies healthy. Lower KS2 we explore the digestive system. Of course, these sessions both have experiments have thrown in and fun demonstrations.
• Working scientifically - In this session, we explore working scientifically using our equipment to explore measuring and working scientifically online with the national curriculum for the key stage. 
• Science Careers sessions – We discuss the endless opportunities that science offers and create a product to take home.
• End of term fun sessions - these can be tailored to your own needs but every child will head home with something they have created!- a fun session of mini experiments and demos to explain and explore states of matter.

Our sessions are 1 - 1.5 hours long.

My Year 5 class thoroughly enjoyed the workshops provided by Science Buddies. These workshops gave the children the opportunity to dissect a real heart, something they might never do again in their lives. It is one thing for me to teach the children about how the heart works in class with diagrams and information, but it is so much better for their learning to have a practical workshop with Science Buddies, to bring it to life and reinforce that learning. 

The children left the sessions with a memorable life experience and the knowledge on how to keep their heart healthy, making healthy smoothies to take away with them. 

Fantastic morning, I would highly recommend.
