My Year 5 class thoroughly enjoyed the workshops provided by Science Buddies. These workshops gave the children the opportunity to dissect a real heart, something they might never do again in their lives. It is one thing for me to teach the children about how the heart works in class with diagrams and information, but it is so much better for their learning to have a practical workshop with Science Buddies, to bring it to life and reinforce that learning. 

The children left the sessions with a memorable life experience and the knowledge on how to keep their heart healthy, making healthy smoothies to take away with them.
